Our Story
From inherited religion to chosen faith.
We come from Iran. Many of us were born into Muslim families and later came to faith in Jesus Christ. Our story includes exile, conversion, loss, courage, family tension, longing, and grace.
Saint Christina of Persia was born from the story of Persian-speaking Christians who know what it means to cross from inherited religion into chosen faith. Many in our community come from Iran and from Muslim backgrounds. Our journey to Christ has not been casual or convenient. It has required questions, courage, loss, and the discovery of a grace stronger than fear.
We do not gather to reject our people or erase our culture. We gather because we believe Christ fulfills the deepest longing of the human heart and gives new life without destroying the beauty of our language, memory, and heritage.
We are Persian and Christian. We are shaped by Scripture, prayer, worship, and the historic Anglican tradition. We are building a church where Persian-speaking people can encounter Christ, belong deeply, and become witnesses of hope.
From Iran to Christ
For many of us, the road to faith began in Iran — in homes, questions, quiet searching, and unexpected encounters with the love of God. Coming to Christ from a Muslim background is rarely simple. It can cost family, belonging, and safety. We honor that cost, and we hold it gently.
A church for Persian-speaking people
We worship in Persian and English so that faith can be understood, received, and prayed in the language of the heart. This is a home where Persian-speaking Christians, seekers, and new believers can grow without translating away who they are.
Faith without erasing culture
Following Christ does not require us to abandon our poetry, our language, our memory, or our people. We believe the Gospel redeems culture rather than erasing it. In Christ, the beauty of Persian heritage finds its truest meaning.
A home for the next generation
We are forming a church that our children and young people can inherit — bilingual, rooted, and unashamed of both their faith and their heritage. We want the next generation to know Christ deeply and to love who God made them to be.
Rooted locally, called globally
We are planted in Tustin, California, and we are called far beyond it — to Persian-speaking people across the diaspora and in Persian-speaking nations who long for Christ, Scripture, and belonging.
We gather because we believe Christ fulfills the deepest longing of the human heart.
